Start test About the SSB Head Constable (Ministerial) skill test
- 1. Candidates who qualify in the written examination take the skill test on a computer.
- 2. English: 35 words per minute (10,500 key depressions per hour). Hindi: 30 words per minute (9,000 key depressions per hour). Speed is counted at 5 key depressions per word.
- 3. The test lasts 10 minutes. Candidates may choose English or Hindi.
- 4. Mistakes: the 5% allowance and the 10-word deduction per extra mistake are the rule commonly used for Head Constable (Ministerial) typing tests in the central armed police forces. SSB's notices state the speed; check the notification for your recruitment.
