CPCT English Typing Test: instructions

1. This mock test follows the English typing test of CPCT (Computer Proficiency Certification Test, Madhya Pradesh): 15 minutes on a computer.
2. Errors are counted word by word: every wrong, misspelt or left-out word is an error.
3. Net speed = (words typed − error words) ÷ 15 minutes. You qualify with 30 net words per minute in English.
4. Speed and errors are not shown while you type. You can correct mistakes with Backspace. The test is submitted automatically when the time is over.

Don’ts

1. Don’t paste text or use shortcut keys. Paste is turned off.
2. Don’t press Enter at the end of each line: lines wrap by themselves.
3. Don’t add extra spaces between words. More than one extra space counts as a mistake.
